Beverley Riding for the Disabled Association was established in 2015. We bring therapy, fitness, skills development and opportunities for achievement to adults with physical and learning disabilities in the Beverley and East Riding of Yorkshire Area. We can only carry out our life-changing activities thanks to the generosity of our donors and so we would like to share with you the difference the grant from the Hull and East Riding Charitable Trust has made to our group.
We were able to purchase these colourful wooden animals. A lot of our riders are non-verbal but they do understand commands such as ‘ walk to the pig and then trot to the cow’. The animals provide such a good visual encouragement for the riders, as they all know their animals whereas before they struggled to understand the letters we used to use.
The pictures below show the rides with their rosettes. We held a little competition using some of the equipment we had purchased with the grant and the photos speak for themselves. Thank you for making this possible Hull and East Riding Charitable Trust.
